Brief and audience

A sunglasses drop with two frame versions, built to explore how far an interactive product experience can go in a browser.

Intended audience: Style-led buyers who want to see the shape and fit before buying eyewear online.

Status and role

Status: commerce concept. Not a client project. It takes no real orders or payments, and no results are claimed.

VIA77’s role: brand direction, interface design and front-end build. It is a front-end demonstration and is not connected to a live Shopify store.

Design and technical decisions

  • Offer a 3D viewer for the frame with a finished model, and say plainly that the other version’s model is still being made.
  • Let people try frames on using their camera.
  • Add a walkable “world” as an optional extra, not as the route to buying.

Constraints and trade-offs

  • 3D and AR add significant download size, so they should load only when asked for.
  • Camera features depend on the device and browser, and need a fallback.
  • No optical or safety certification is implied. Prices and availability are not confirmed.

What it demonstrates

  • 3D product viewing
  • Camera try-on
  • Progressive loading of heavy media
